This event will feature 8 food trucks, serving up everything from BBQ to Homemade Southern comfort food to whatever concoctions of great tasting food they have dreamed up to be purchased from each vendor. Local beers and wine will also be available to purchase onsite.

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, the Stax Music Academy presents an original, Broadway-style musical production MLK, WDIA, and the Sounds of the Civil Rights Era.
Acclaimed literary voice Tayari Jones, whose last novel, Silver Sparrow, was named an NEA Big Read and chosen as a Best Book of 2011 by O, The Oprah Magazine, Library Journal, and Slate, comes to Memphis in celebration of the launch of the much-anticipated An American Marriage, published in 2018 by Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill.
Jones will read from the novel and be in-conversation with Memphis novelist and C.S.L.A. co-founding director Jamey Hatley. A book signing will follow, with our friends from Novel, Memphis’ newest independent bookstore.
