MLK Soul Concert Series Featuring Karen Brown

Back by popular demand, the National Civil Rights Museum is hosting its free outdoor concert series for the community to enjoy! From the sweet sounds of soul to chilled-out beats and local bands, the Museum is the place for family fun this fall. The program runs every Friday in September. This year’s concerts will delight music lovers of all ages with music ranging from jazz to soul, with a taste of the oldies. If music makes you feel like dancing on the lawn, all the better!

International Goat Days Festival 2018

The annual Goat Days Festival is a Millington tradition and takes place the second full weekend in September each year. Benefiting many charitable organization, Goat Days is presented by the City of Millington in memory of the event founder, W. S. “Babe” Howard, sponsored by Republic Services, Carey’s Body Shop, Ritter Communications, Homer Skelton Ford and Homer Skelton Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep.

Whet Thursday: End of Summer Luau

Join us for an evening of games, adult beverages, food, music and more! All are welcome to enjoy the Metal Museum & Grounds after-hours for free. Say goodbye to summer with a Luau on the bluff, and mingle with members of local organization Memphis Urban League Young Professionals. We will have a Tiki bar as well as Hawaiian yard games for the whole family! Wear your Hawaiian shirt or grass skirt and dance the night away to Memphis’s favorite surf rock band, Impala. Explore the Museum’s current exhibitions and listen to a gallery talk at 6PM.
